According to the Oxford Dictionary “luck” is defined as: Success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than one’s own action. Taking this definition into account, it should narrow the list of people that are lucky to have the things they have. More interesting, we all know at least one person that’s quick to tell us “if it weren’t for bad luck” they’d have “no luck at all.” The more memorable times you’ve heard this is when the “unlucky” person was fired because they laid out of work one too many Mondays. Or when they received a speeding ticket just as the Christmas they hadn’t saved for anyway was right around the corner. Maybe lady luck’s influence isn’t as common as we let on.
